About Me

I am a Genomic Sciences undergraduate student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), strongly interested in using and developing computational tools to process high-throughput data such as NGS and transcriptomics in order to elucidate relevant biological insights across different states, including disease. I am particularly passionate about central nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). I am also interested in development and the genomic landscape of stem cells, including pluripotent and totipotent cells. Finally, I am engaged in modeling metabolic fluxes and exploring the biological information they can provide about different states in complex biological systems..

Knowing more about me

I enjoy learning about a wide range of topics; in particular, I am very passionate about sports. I love playing and watching soccer ⚽, volleyball 🏐, tennis 🎾, and basketball 🏀. Other aspects of my life focus on maintaining a balanced lifestyle between my mental and physical well-being. I like to train my body just as I train my brain. I also enjoy spending some time—though not too much—playing video games 🎮.
